When launching GLOK, the name made sense as we started by building a private geolocation app, a way to Get found easily when you most need it.
But as we refined our mission and identity, cracks started to show. Here is why we made the change.
The Name Sent the Wrong Signal
GLOK came from "geolocate," and our original logo featured a location pin. For a company focused on personal security, that visual language carried an uncomfortable implication: tracking, surveillance, monitoring. The exact things we do NOT do and our clients want to avoid.
Our philosophy is the opposite. We train people to stay covert, maintain a low profile, and only break cover when it is absolutely necessary to call for help. The brand needed to reflect that reality, not contradict it.
Trademark Common Sense
Lawyers like to win and we don't like to fight. GLOK sits uncomfortably close to Glock, one of the most recognized and aggressively trademarked brands in the firearms industry. We had no interest in picking a fight with a company that also provides protection to the very same customers we might.
Color Tells a Story
Our old palette leaned heavily on red. Red signals danger, urgency, alarm. That is not what we do. We teach calm, controlled decision-making under pressure. Panic is the enemy. Our new visual identity reflects the composure and quiet confidence we want our clients to carry with them.
Stealth. Ready. Smart.
Our new tagline captures exactly what Gart stands for. Stealth, because the best security is invisible. Ready, because that is the outcome we help achieve. Smart, because preparation and intelligent design beat brute force every time.
You might also hear us say "Hope is not a strategy." That one has been with us from the beginning, and it is not going anywhere. It is the core belief behind everything we build: security comes from deliberate preparation, not wishful thinking.
New Feel
We designed the new identity to reflect composure, discreet protection and professionalism. No alarm colors, no surveillance imagery, just a clean mark that represents quiet competence.
Same Mission
The same team, the same commitment: keeping people safe through preparation, awareness, practiced response and smart tools.
The name is new. The work continues.
